The fruits of Tunisia are universally known and unanimously appreciated for their single savor emanating from a soil rocked by the Mediterranean and flooded sun all the year.
Rich of an agricultural tradition at least twice thousand-year-old, Tunisia has maintained along centuries the culture of several arboricolous species. This fruit-bearing inheritance preserved and enriched by new species and varieties offers a varied production. Many products today are directly associated with the image of Tunisia : the Deglet Nour dates of the oases, Maltese oranges of the Cap-Bon, grenades of Gabes, etc. The grouping is managed by a board of directors of which a third of the members is composed representatives of the administration, a third of the representatives of the UTAP and a third of the representatives of the UTICA.
